\"\"<\/a>Director Mike Flanagan, known for his work on “The Haunting of Hill House” and “Doctor Sleep,” is set to adapt Stephen King’s epic fantasy series “The Dark Tower” for Amazon.<\/p>\n

The news was confirmed by King himself, who took to Twitter to announce the exciting project. In his tweet, King called Flanagan the “perfect director” for the series and expressed his excitement to see the world of the Dark Tower come to life on screen.<\/p>\n

“The Dark Tower” is a sprawling series of books that follow the journey of gunslinger Roland Deschain as he travels through a desolate wasteland to reach the mysterious Dark Tower. Along the way, he encounters a variety of strange and dangerous characters, including the villainous Man in Black.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Flanagan, who is a longtime fan of King’s work, expressed his excitement to be working on the project in a statement. “I’ve been a Stephen King fan for decades and the opportunity to adapt The Dark Tower as a series is a dream come true,” he said. “The events of The Dark Tower series are some of the most exciting, epic, and memorable in all of literature, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be the one to bring them to television.”<\/p>\n

It’s not yet clear when the series will be released, or what form it will take. However, with Flanagan at the helm and King’s blessing, fans can be sure that the adaptation will be faithful to the source material.<\/p>\n

This is not the first time that “The Dark Tower” has been adapted for the screen. In 2017, a feature film adaptation was released starring Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey, but it was met with mixed reviews and failed to launch a planned franchise.<\/p>\n
