We’re kicking things off with a deep dive into the two-episode premiere of Marvel’s VisionQuest. Join us as we break down what happened, what to expect as the series moves forward, and how this could shape the future of the MCU.
Then, we transition into the latest news and rumors, including:
Comic Sketch Art vs. GalaxyCon: We discuss the recent controversy involving author Timothy Zahn and the communication breakdown that led to his cancellation from GalaxyCon St. Louis.
Supergirl Rumors & Deletions: What is going on with Milly Alcock? Following the recent release and box office struggles of Supergirl, fans noticed Alcock scrubbed almost all Supergirl posts from her Instagram, including her original casting announcement. James Gunn recently took to social media to state that the current rumors “couldn’t be more false” and asked fans to “stop listening to BS,” but he never actually addressed the specific rumor of Alcock being fired or why she deleted the posts. Is she just rebranding her feed, or is she being pushed to the background for Man of Tomorrow? We discuss why Gunn’s statement might not be the debunking everyone thinks it is.
The Batman Part II Director Swap: Steven Soderbergh has officially stepped in to direct The Batman Part II while Matt Reeves remains away due to family reasons. We talk about how Soderbergh plans to seamlessly finish Reeves’ vision and what this means for the February 2028 release.
Is Grant Gustin Returning as The Flash?: The internet recently went wild when Grant Gustin posted a photo of himself standing in front of classic The Flash posters, and James Gunn leaned into the resulting fan speculation. Could Gustin be making a return as a version of the Scarlet Speedster? We discuss what it all means for the DCU.

It is a bold move for the studio to tackle such a complex arc, and we analyze whether this will successfully capture the intensity of the comic books or struggle under the weight of its own continuity.

Welcome back to a brand new episode of Super Hero Speak! We’ve got a jam-packed show for you today, covering some of the wildest news dropping in the geekosphere before we dive into a massive main topic about the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Here is what we are breaking down this week:
💥 Bradley Cooper is Duke!
Paramount is reviving G.I. Joe with Bradley Cooper attached to star as Duke, and in a wild twist, Danny McBride is directing. We discuss what this comedic and action-heavy combo means for the franchise.
💥 DC Studios Survives the Megamerger
The Paramount-Warner Bros merger shook the industry, but James Gunn and Peter Safran are officially staying put. What does this mean for the new DCU slate?
💥 Nic Cage Shoots on Marvel
Nicolas Cage holds absolutely nothing back, calling the current MCU a “well-funded and glorified WWE” full of 50-plus-year-olds in “ridiculous outfits.” Is he right, or is this just sour grapes?
💥 Spider-Man’s Clone Saga TV Series
Sony is nearing a green light for an Amazon live-action TV series based on the infamous 90s ‘Clone Saga’. Are audiences ready for Ben Reilly, Kaine, and maximum clone chaos?
💥 MAIN TOPIC: What Survives Avengers: Secret Wars?
After the multiversal dust settles in Secret Wars, the MCU will never be the same. We debate which movies and Disney+ shows will survive the soft-reboot to remain canon, and which ones will be permanently erased from the timeline!
👇 WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU! 👇
Which MCU project do YOU think needs to be erased from canon? Let us know in the comments below!

Paramount is reviving the G.I. Joe movie franchise. We break down the rumored casting and what this new direction means for fans.
Big changes are coming to the classic toy-based universe. Reports indicate that Bradley Cooper is currently in talks to star as Duke, which would be a major shift for the character. Even more surprising is the attachment of Danny McBride as director, signaling that the studio might be aiming for a completely different tone than previous entries.
We discuss the possibility of the studio ignoring established canon to pursue original movie ideas. This approach could either breathe new life into the property or alienate long-time followers, and we analyze the potential risks and rewards of this strategy. Is this the shake-up the franchise needs, or is it a misstep?
Subscribe for weekly comic book and movie breakdowns, and let us know in the comments if you think Bradley Cooper is the right choice for Duke.
