With New York Comic Con 2026 right around the corner, host Dave takes a trip down memory lane to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Super Hero Speak covering NYCC—and a personal history with the convention that stretches all the way back to 2010.

From attending as a fan with his daughter and getting Amazing Spider-Man #39 signed by John Romita Sr. (and later Stan Lee!), to working celebrity lines for Adam West and getting a kiss from Carrie Fisher, to spending years working the booth for artist Greg Horn, NYCC has been the backbone of this channel. Dave also looks back on how former co-host John helped kickstart the show’s convention coverage in 2016, what it was like finally landing official NYCC press passes in 2018, and gearing up to hit the Javits Center floor this October alongside co-host Don Daniels.
