Lots happening behind the scenes at Valiant Comics.  Freshly minted Senior Editorial Director Robert Meyers announced Drew Baumgartner has joined the company as Assistant Editor.  Additionally, Zane Warman has been named Domestic Licensing Coordinator.

Baumgartner history in comics includes Co-Founding Retcon Punch, a website dedicated to discussions on comics and comics culture where he served as Co-Editor in Chief.  Per Meyer’s statement, “Drew has been writing and thinking about comics for many years, and is always ready for a deeper conversation about comics as both art and entertainment. As an intern, Drew has shown that he will be a bright addition to the Valiant family. He brings a keen intellect, a love for the medium, and an A+ mustache to our team.”

Seriously, it is an awesome mustache.

Zane Warman past work includes writing for publications such as Billboard and Bedford + Bowery.  Russ Brown, Valiant’s President of Consumer Products, Promotions, and Ad Sales, said in regards to Warman, “At first glance, we were very impressed with Zane’s background. Couple this with his deep-level interest in the Valiant IP and belief in its enormous merchandising potential, we look forward to his contribution on Team Valiant.”

Warman’s facial hair game is also strong.
