Psi-Lords #8

The Psi-lords are locked in a battle that has universal implications. They are asked to make a choice of releasing a power entity that they may not be able to control or let the universe be destroyed. They make the decision, but they don’t all make the same decision.

This issue starts in a bloody manner as you learn about the serious situation that the Psi-Lords are in. A choice is made, and the consequences of that choice will severely effect the Psi-Lords team. This story in this issue is a conclusion to a great conflict as well as setting up for the future. A major change or two happens to the team. If you are a fan of the status quo then prepare to be shocked and disappointed as the aforementioned consequences are realized by the team. The consequences are such that out of them, a new team is born. This issue is more than just the conclusion to an ark. It very well may be the conclusion of a team!

The artwork is great! It is very detailed and colorful. The characters all stand out as unique. There is a lot of space mumbo jumbo, but you are still able to understand what is going on in each panel. Be warned, some of the images are very graphic. Blood red is obviously the favorite color in this issue.

Overall the issue was enjoyable but it is not a great conclusion to the story arc and it seems like everyone is all to eager to move on to the next story. As I said the art is great and very enjoyable as long as you are a mature reader. It’s not that its all blood and gore, it’s just that this issue starts off that way. I give Psi-Lords #8 by Valiant comics 6 capes out of 10.
