Valiant Releases Artwork from Punk Mambo #1

The Valiant Comics character Punk Mambo debuted in a 2013 issue of Shadowman.  The character, created by Peter Milligan and Roberto de la Torre, receives her own five-issue limited series launching April 2019.

To promote the mohawked voodoo priestess’ upcoming adventure, Valiant released detailed pencils from issue #1 by series artist Adam Gorham (Rocket).  The gorgeous artwork features the series’ star being attacked by and defending herself against monsters on Grunch Rd.

It should be noted nothing good ever happened on a street named Grunch Rd.

Per Punk Mambo writer Cullen Bunn (Venom), “Punk Mambo is the kind of woman who haunts the dark corners of the Valiant Universe.  She walks a tightrope through the deepest of shadows – shadows that will devour you if they get half the chance. She looks into the abyss…and if the abyss dares to stare back, she spits in its eye.”

Be sure to ask your local comic shop to add Punk Mambo to your box in April.  And stay away from Grunch Rd.
