TEMUDJIN Graphic Novel Campaign Launching with Pre-order Exclusives

Gallery-sized Hardcover by Antoine Ozanam and Antoine Carrion Premiering on Kickstarter August 23rd.
CHICAGO, IL (August 18, 2022) — Award-winning publisher of premium graphic novels and art books Magnetic Press today announced the upcoming launch of their pre-order campaign for TEMUDJIN, a mature fantasy graphic novel by writer Antoine Ozanam spectacularly illustrated by celebrated artist Antoine CarrionSet in a surreal depiction of 12th Century Mongolia, this lyrical, almost operatic fantasy tells the story of a young boy gifted with mystical talents who some believe may be destined to unite the Mongol tribes as the Great Khan. Toeing the line between dreamlike fantasy and grounded historic drama, this cinematic tale is a feast for the eyes.

Written by prolific fan-favorite author Antoine Ozanam, best known for combing high-concept fantasy with grounded human characters, such as with his popular long-running contemporary series Klaw, TEMUDJIN marks the author’s fourth collaboration with illustrator Antoine Carrion, whose unique and lush range of painterly styles switch from opulent painted landscapes to kinetic action-oriented line work depending on the tone of the scene. Together, the ideas and images create a virtual symphony that runs the gamut from quiet introspection to explosive tremoring warfare.
“Not only are we big fans of Ozanam’s wild imagination, but we are deeply in love with everything that Antoine Carrion has produced,” says Mike Kennedy, Magnetic Press’s Publisher. “After publishing the mindbogglingly beautiful NILS: THE TREE OF LIFE last year, we couldn’t wait to bring even more of Antoine’s stunning work to market. TEMUDJIN definitely seals his place in the pantheon of the world’s finest comic artists.”
To capture the scope of the story within, Magnetic is releasing the 200-page hardcover in a premium gallery sized edition measuring 9×12” with a reflective silver foil cover and their signature curved corners. Fans can pre-order the book during a Kickstarter campaign scheduled to launch on Tuesday, August 23rd at 10am CST.
