In anticipation of the upcoming Vin Diesel movie featuring their iconic character, Valiant Entertainment announced a new ongoing BLOODSHOT series to debut in September.  Written by Tim Seeley (REVIVAL) with art by Brett Booth (TEEN TITANS), the story follows the unstoppable supersoldier as he protects those who cannot protect themselves.

Regarding his philosophy on taking over the character who has been around since 1992, Seeley said,  “I don’t feel like I need to reinvent the wheel with Bloodshot. What I need to do is tell a BIG, CRAZY story that can only be done in comics, and I need it to be powerful and emotional and relevant in a way only comics can do.”

Sharing his excitement for the project, Booth stated, “I’ve been looking for a project I could really cut loose on.  The first issue is pretty nuts. It gets right to the action, which I love, and then sets up the rest of the story. It’s a great jumping-on point.”
