If there is a lesson to learn from the history of comics, it is great heroes require great villains to prove their worth.  In that tradition, Valiant Comics character Livewire will be receiving an addition to her rogues gallery.

Pan de Santos, who was designed by Livewire artists Raúl Allén and Patricia Martín, is scheduled to debut in issue #2 of the new ongoing publication. Series writer Vita Ayala described the new antagonist as “the conceptual opposite of Livewire” and a “true believer of Toyo Harada.”

Livewire debuted in a 1993 issue of Harbinger.  She is the co-creation of Joe St. Pierre and legendary Iron Man writer/artist Bob Layton, also a Valiant Comics co-founder.  The new Livewire series is written by Vita Ayala (The Wilds, Submerged) with art by Raúl Allén (Wrath of the Eternal Warrior) and Patricia Martín (Secret Weapons).
