This series simply does not disappoint. This issue continues to do an excellent job of moving the narrative forward on multiple fronts. We see Quantum learn a new power as well as learn about other things that could threaten his relationship with Woody going into the future. We are also introduced to a new stable of villains. Those villains are also tied to Quantum and Woody’s mentor The Apprehension. We continue to get good overall story progression and pacing, combined with character and world development. Christopher Hastings is simply knocking it out of the park.

The artwork continues to be very solid. Lots of good details that are easy to follow and see. The action scenes remain very consistent even when there is a ton of characters in the panel. The bright colors make every panel pop from the page. Although I am not a fan of lines used as shade and crease definition, it is not overused and does not take away much from the artwork.

This is another great entry to the series, so I will give it 9 capes out of 10. In these times it’s great to read about brothers from two different races working together and caring for one another. The fact that it is amusing, and intriguing makes it all the better. This is a series that any comic book fan should be reading.
